GARDENS
In USJ, we are committed to our Green Campus Environmental Action Plan, which includes the use of green strip edgers and fins, and rooftop gardens.
DIRECT ACTION
To promote local mangroves ecosystems, USJ, through the institute of science and Environment, conducts a series of activities for the rehabilitation and maintenance of ecosystems, as well as the enhancement and protection of biodiversity in the local coastal wetland ecosystems, which protects Macao from damage done to the land by flooding.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, through the 2024 Biodiversity Photography Competition, we offered the community an opportunity to learn about and appreciate the unique biodiversity of Macao’s Wetlands. This initiative also fostered a deeper connection with nature and inspired efforts to protect and preserve terrestrial ecosystems.
