TAKE URGENT ACTION TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE AND ITS IMPACTS BY REGULATING EMISSIONS AND PROMOTING DEVELOPMENTS IN RENEWABLE ENERGY
CAMPUS LIFE
USJ, through its Green Campus Environmental Action Programme, is one way we are demonstrating our commitment and making progress on Climate Action. This action programme focuses on Green Campus Operations by incorporating many green technologies, including rain water harvesting and recycling systems, ledger green strips and fins, roof gardens, low transmission glazing, cross-flow ventilation chimneys, solar electricity panels, solar hot water heating, energy recovery in ventilation systems and chillers, low consumption bulbs and LED bulbs. The aim is to create a sustainable and nature-connected campus for students and staff.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Through the academic year 2023-2024, USJ organised several initiatives promoting a green living attitude and engaging the community in environmental education and activities. One of these initiatives included Coastal Cleanup, which highlights our commitment to environmental protection, emphasising the importance of protecting marine environments and fostering community involvement in sustainability.
